A

1999, 1.75 billion people (half of all LEDC population) was living on less that $1.25 a day

High infant mortality and maternal rates

Education not universally available and inequality towards women

Environmental impacts of global warming threatened many fragile environments, especially in LEDCs that lacked economic and technological resources to deal with these issues
