Shows his character development from stave one as he wants to leave his old misanthropic ways in the past and to live to be good.

He has had a change In heart as he now embraces Christmas in contrast to stave 1.
“Im about to raise your salary”
In stave one, Scrooge claims that the poor are responsible for the way they live in poverty. Since being visited by the spirits, he has repented and become good hearted and generous.
“Your welfare”
An improvement in Scrooges life is too be seen.
”“Do you know wether they’ve sold the prize turkey?”
Contrast to stave one as he is now gladly donating rather tha against the idea.
