Name 5 red flag symptoms for a headache?
Focal neurological signs (weakness, lost sensation)
Fever
Sudden onset and severe
Neck stiffness (are you able to turn your head)
Diplopia

What are the TUNA FISH red flags for back pain?
Trauma
Unexplained weight loss
Neurological syx
Age <20 or >55ys
Fever
Inflammatory pain/ IVDU
Steroid use
Hx of cancer
Lung cancer - 2ww history prompts?
Unexplained haemoptysis >40
Urgent 2ww CXR:
- Over 40 with 2 or more of (cough, fatige, SOB, chest pain, weight loss, appetite loss)
(Or smoker with 1 of)
Upper GI - 2ww criteria?
Any dysphagia
Over 55 with weight loss and one of:
- Upper abdo pain
- Reflux
- Dyspepsia
Pancreatic 2ww
Jaundice over 40
Direct CT or USS with anyone over 60 with weight loss and any other GI syx
Lower GI - 2ww in practice
FIT for any IDA/ change in bowels
FIT for:
- Over 40 weight loss and abdo pain
- Over 50 and unexplained rectal bleed or abdo pain or weight loss
- Over 60 with new anaemia even if no IDA
Breast 2ww
Over 30 with breast lump without pain
Over 50 with discharge, retraction or other nipple/ skin changes
Name 3 concerning symptoms for ovarian cancer
Especially over 50
Persistent distenstion/ bloating
Feeling full early

Indications for PSA test when considering symptoms?

Visible haematuria
Bladder cancer 2ww
Over 45
- Visible haematuria (without or after UTI)
Over 60:
- Non visible haematuria and either dysuria or raised WCC
Recurrent/ persistent UTI’s over age 60 - non urgent referral (more than 2 in 6 months or more than 3 in 12months)
What are the 7 points of the NICE checklist for melanoma?
Major:
- Change in size
- Irregular shape
- Irregular colour
Minor:
- Over 7mm
- Inflammation
- Oozing
- Change in sensation
Laryngeal cancer 2ww
Over 45:
- Persistent hoarseness
- Unexplained neck lump
Oral cancer 2ww
Ulcer over 3 weeks
Dentist:
- Lump in lip or oral cavity
- Red or white patch in oral cavity
Name 3 indications for urgent FBC for leukaemia in children
- Pallor
- Unexplained fever/ bone pain/ brusing/ bleeding
- Generalised lymphadenopathy
- Unexplained persistent infection
Myeloma - what indications and what first test?
Over 60 with persistent bone pain, back pain or unexplained fracture

Visible haematuria - Without or after treated UTI OVER 45
Dysuria with NVH unexplained - OVER 60
Raised WCC with NVH -OVER 60

- Over 60 with persistent or recurrent UTI’s
