Red Flag symptoms
A
- Thunderclap: Rapid peak to intensity over 5 minutes may indicate subarachnoid haemorrhage
- Headache which changes with posture: high or low cerebrospinal fluid
- Headache awakening patient: Migraine or increased intracranial pressure
- Headache with exertion: ?subarachnoid ?pressure
- Ass with fever: consider meningitis
- Ass with neck stiffness: Meningeal irritation
