Long term low dose antibiotic therapy: tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline

How is acute dacryocystitis treated?

A

Lacrimal sac massage
If mucopurulent discharge without other infection: topical antibiotics with tobramycin sulfate or moxifloxacin
If other signs of infection (erythema/swelling): systemic antibiotic therapy with augmentin; surgery: elective or emergent
