-a deteriorating patient
-uncertainty due to change in patient condition
-uncertainty of patient diagnosis
-panic during event
-patient who appeared well initially
-presence of reduced LOC
Making decision if sick or not sick
-if sick- rapid treatment, extrication and transport
-not sick- thorough examination on scene with appropriate treatment
What to do when treating and transporting time critical patient
-formulate a plan
-take action quickly
-add additional resources early
-treat them quickly
-transport to appropriate destination and pre alert hospital
