HDG turn and pull ( 15 degrees of airway away from terrain)

PILOT MONITORING ACTIONS FIRST LOOP.

SIGNS. On
ENG MODE SELECTOR IGN
ATC. Notify/Sqwk 7700
If cabin ALT will exceed 14000’ Pax oxygen on.

SECOND LOOP

Pilot flying ( to refine settings)

ALT Set
HEADING Set
SPEED Set

If structural damage is confirmed or suspected:
SPEED/Mach push button press.

If no structural damage suspected set MMO

Engine Failure in the Cruise

A

Auto Thrust Off

Both Power levers to MCT

Speed Turn and Pull .78/300 KTS for standard stratagy or Green dot for obstacle clearance.

HDG turn and pull (15 degrees of FPR away from terrain and or airspace)

Alt Turn and Pull (Set initially 20,000’ then MORA or height deemed necessary)

Stall Recovery

A

Pilot flying on recognition of Stall announce “Stall I have Control”

Nose pitch down Apply
Bank wings level

When out of the stall (no longer stall indications)

Speed brakes check retracted
Flight path recover smoothly

If in clean configuration and below 20,000’ Flap 1 select

Crew Incapacitation

A

First phase:
Assume control Announce “I have Control”
use the take over push button on the side Autopilot as required.

Declare emergency to ATC

Take whatever steps are possible to ensure that the incapacitated pilot can not interfere with the handling of the aircraft.

Request assistance from any medically qualified passengers.

Check if a type rated company pilot is onboard to replace the incapacitated pilot.

Land ASAP after considering all pertinent factors.

Arrange for medical assistance after landing.

Second phase:

Prepare the approach and read the checklists earlier than usual.

Request radar vectoring and prefer a long approach to reduce workload.

Perform landing from normal seat.

A

On advisory “Traffic” message
Pilot Flying announce “TCAS I have Control”

Resolution advisory:
Pilot flying:
AP/FD off
Respond promptly and smoothly “Fly the Green”

Pilot not flying:

Advise ATC ( Callsign TCAS RA)

When “Clear of Conflict” is announced advise ATC “Callsign Clear of Conflict” resume normal navigation in accordance with ATC instructions.

If RA on Final approach RA “Climb” or “Increase Climb” conduct “Go Around”

Windshear

A

When a red flag “windshear” is displayed on each PFD associated with synthetic voice “Windshear” repeated three times.

At take off:
If before V1 Reject take off (only is significant airspeed variations exist and the PIC decides there is sufficient RWY remaining to stop the aircraft)

If After V1:
Thrust levers TOGA
Reaching VR Rotate
SRS orders Follow
(if necessary apply full back stick)
(If FD are not displayed rotate to 17.5 then as necessary to prevent loss of altitude)

Airborne, Initial Climb or Landing

Thrust Levers TOGA
AP (if engaged) keep ON
SRS orders Follow

DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGERATION UNTIL OUT OF SHEAR.

CLOSELY MONITOR FLIGHT PATH AND SPEED
RECOVER SMOOTHLY TO NORMAL CLIMB OUT OF THE SHEAR.

Pilot Not Flying is to call Altitudes and sink/ Climb rates.

Windshear Ahead

A

The “W/S Ahead” message displayed on the PFD colour will vary depending upon the severity.
“Windshear Ahead” or “Go Around Windshear Ahead” is triggered. Alert can be disregarded if the crew makes a positive verification that no hazard exists.
There are no signs of possible windshear and the reactive windshear system is operative.

W/S Ahead RED

Take Off:
Before take off: Delay T/O or select the most favourable RWY.

During T/O run: Reject T/O
(Note Predictive windshear alerts are inhibited between 100kts and 50’)

When airborne:
Thrust levers TOGA
AP (if engaged) Keep ON
SRS orders Follow

Landing:
Go around perform
AP (if engaged) keep on
