Q

2 steps of the observation process

A
  1. Interview employee to gain knowledge of their job tasks and demands
  2. Observe employee and for each task take note of the workplace environment, equipment used, impact of the task, and their behaviour

15
Q

what do you do after modifications have been made int he work place? and why?

A

reassess these tasks and compare new REBA scores with old REBA scores
- allows you to determine the effectiveness of the intervention and whether further modification need to be made

17
Q

if a load is 5-10 kg what score do you add ?

A

1

18
Q

if a load is more than 10kg what score do you add

A

2

19
Q

what score to add for a well fitted and mid range power grip

A

0

20
Q

what score do you add more handhold that is acceptable but not ideal. coupling is acceptable via another part of the body

A

1

21
Q

what score do you add if handhold not acceptable, although possible

A

2

22
Q

what score do you add is awkward and unsafe grip, no handles, coupling is unacceptable using other body parts

A

3

23
Q

what do you give an activity score for? (+1)

A
  1. if one or more body parts are static (held longer than 1 min)
  2. if repeated small range actions occur (more than 4x per minute, not including walking)
  3. if the action causes rapid large-range changes in postures or an unstable base
