I started my two year law-enforcement degree in Bemidji State University getting my licenses to be a peace officer in MN in 2002.
where did you start working after graduating
I started my work for lake county as a deputy
how long
I’ve been working 22 years
is that still your position
I am no longer a deputy as I was promoted to investigator in April of 2023
how did you become involved
At 7:05 June 11th I was dispatched to the northeast side of disappointment lake assisted with deputy Randolph
so tell us about june 11
At Disappointment lake I found the confirmed body of Addison-Rogers
How did the body appear
Addison’s body was face down, his head to his waist were in the water his feet were on shore, fully clothed.
what else did you notice
Addison rogers face was covered in small cuts and he had a large big ass laceration on the right side of his head
Rigor mortis
After moving the body to a body bag, I noticed stiffness and heaviness
What did you infer about the injuries on the body
From my past experience I inferred some of the small cuts on the face to be turtle bites and others to be impact wounds from the fight. For the lacerations on the right side of his head would have only been created by a blunt force hit.
Did you search the body
Yes, I did
did you take any measures to ensure the integrity of the body
by putting on standard-issue gloves for the matter.
What did you find
While searching the body to confirm identity I looked in the back pockets and found Addison’s wallet in his right pocket that contained his drivers licenses which confirmed the dead to be Addison. I also found his phone seizing it for forensic analysis.
Did you examine the environment
Yes I did
What did you observe
the shore was rocky with the outcroppings being large and smooth and there was broken branches surrounding the area.
What did you do next (where did you go)
Deputy Randolph and I put Addison’s body in a body bag and made my way to campsite 1984
Did you notice anything as you moved
As I made my way to the campsite, the rocks had become slippery from the pervious rain
What did you notice upon reaching campsite 1984
There was were several empty beer can and bottles. There were clothes thrown about on the ground along with wrappers, and an unattended burning fire

What is significant about what you noticed
The fact that they’d broken several rules, leaving the fire unattended, bringing cans and glass bottles, and leaving behind trash
When did you come into contact with Koren Noble
(They’d) been approaching the campsite in a canoe
What did you notice about Mx. Noble
Noble was nervous, averting eye contact and fiddling with (their) hands. I also noticed an odor of alcohol coming from Noble.
What was the first thing you spoke with Koren about
I first spoke to Koren about where she was staying and where she’d been coming from
What did she tell you
(They) confirmed (they)’d been been staying with three others individuals, including Addison Rodgers, and (they) informed me (they)’d been returning from fishing, which I found suspicious because there was no fish in her canoe.
Did you ask koren about addisons whereabouts
Yes, (they) told me (they) didn’t know where he was.
And what did koren tell you about the previous night
Koren mentioned two Jhonos and Passons had left due to an injury and that (them) and Addison had a fight.
Tell us more about the fight
Koren stated the argument hadn’t been serious that it was about business. Koren claimed was Koren said that was the last (they) saw Addison.
Did she mention drinking with Addison
Yes, mention shady answer and how its against the rule. Yes, Koren at first stated that she hadn’t had any that it was all Addison, then she (they) said Addison spilt some on them, then (they said (they) only had a sip.
did koren tell you anything else about the previous day
(They’d) mentioned that Addison aught himself on something point in the canoe

Yes, I did

What did you find
I found no point thing in or on the canoe nor could Koren point it out. There was blood spots on the interior of the canoe. I determined the canoe and paddle in the boat to be seized for evidence.
Did you ask Koren to give a statement
Yes, I asked and (they) went wide eyes shaking (their) head no and asked for an attorney
So what did you do following this
Deputy Randolph radioed me that I had my search warrant approved, so I instructed Koren to sit on a log while I search the campsite, I photographed the campsite as I did a complete exception of the site.
Did you find anything else
I found nothing else of value, everything that was worth seizing was as clear as the boundary water
So did you arrest Koren at this time
I found (them) highly suspicious, but I did not believe I had enough evidence to properly arrest Koren.
tell me about First warrant
I filed for a warrant to seize the two paddles of Billie Passon and Bobby Johnson. The paddles to me, appeared as a probable murder weapon that could have been used on Addison.
Second warrant
I also got a warrant for a search warrant of business records at Dembones.
what did you find significant about these documents
There was a letter thanking Addisons for being an investor and asking for more investment money as they worked through getting to FDA. The other discussed with issues submitting to FDA.
When did you receive the medical examiners reports
I received these on June 15th.
what evidence did you submit for testing
I submitted the seized canoe paddles
what did the lab results say for the fibers
They were determined to be resin treated cedar and fiberglass
what did the lab say for the paddle
They were possible contributors to the fibers found in Addison’s wound
First report
The autopsy report claimed the manner of death to be homicide and suspected a factor to be a canoe paddle.

Lab results showed his BAC to be .17.

What did you conclude following your investigations
Looking over all of my evidence and the events that took place, I concluded I had enough evidence and arrested Koren for second degree murder intentional murder.
