What is a Reflex Action?
A
an action of the body that does not involve the brain sending instructions.

How does a reflex action happen?
A
receptor detects a stimulus - change in the environment
sensory neurone sends signal to relay neurone
motor neurone sends signal to effector
effector produces a response

How does the eye react to dim light?
A
Radial muscles of the iris contract.
Circular muscles of the iris relax.
More light enters the eye through the dilated pupil

Less light enters the eye through the contracted pupil.
