What is providence?
The indirect influence of God on everything to fulfill His purpose
What are the two levels in which Divine guidance operates?
- God guides you by His divine agent, the Holy Spirit
- He communicates through earthly channels
What are the two realms in which God communicates?
- internal signals
- external signposts
How do internal signals come?
By the indwelling of the Holy Spirit
What are the two sources in which external signposts come?
- people
- providence
Why do we need Divine Guidance?
- we are limited in knowledge
- only God knows the future
What are the four basic conditions that allow you to understand divine guidance?
- Spirit control
- Dedication
- Faith
- Prayer
What is the condition of Spirit control?
- spiritual well-being/health
- even immature Christians can be spiritually controlled
What are the characteristics of a spirit-controlled Christian?
- yielded to the Holy Spirit
- experiences close fellowship with the Heavenly Father
What is the condition of Dedication and it’s three steps?
-devoting to live/serve God
1- Surrender of self
2- Submission to God’s will
3-Servant attitude
What is the condition of Faith?
- required for every transaction with God
- appropriates salvation
- qualifies our Christian living
