What is the purpose of the Examen?
The 5-step method of the Ignatian Examen allows us to review our days and give thanks to God.
What is the meaning of the Our Father?
The Our Father shows us how we should pray and for what things we should pray, and in what order.
What are two similarities between traditional and Aboriginal Our Father
1) They both have the same essential meaning to give forgiveness.
2) They both provide us with our daily bread.
What are two differences between traditional and Aboriginal Our Father?
1) Aboriginal one has more lines and some of those lines are repeated.
2) The traditional one uses more fancy language such as “thy kingdom come”.
What is the purpose of the ‘We Listen’ part of mass?
We listen so we can enter a conversation with God, and he can guide us and to deepen our understanding with our troubles/problems.
What is the importance of the ‘We Listen’ part of mass?
By listening to God we understand what He is telling us and so we can fulfil His wishes.
What is the purpose of the ‘We Give Thanks’ part of mass?
To give thanks to God for every gift He has given us.
What is the importance of the ‘We Give Thanks’ part of mass?
Through giving thanks and realising that everything is a gift from God we fully enter into the life God gave us.
