Q

What did Michael Behe say about the argument of design?

A

To imagine you’re walking with a friend in the forest and suddenly she’s hanging on a rope upside down on her ankle from a tree. The trap was obviously designed, so sometimes we don’t need to see a designer to believe that it was designed.

Q

What did William Paley say about the argument of design?

A

Paley’s watch- If you found a watch on the beach, you would think that someone left it there. The watch has hundreds of elements all working together to make it work. Paley said you would conclude that the watch had been designed by somebody and left there. To Paley the universe was like a giant watch. He said it makes sense that there is a universe designer.
