What does the book of Genesis say?
It says that human beings have dominion over all animals.
What does the book of Genesis mean?
It means that humans are stewards who have control over all animals in the world, and the responsibility to look after them
What does the steward of creation mean?
It means that you have to look after the environment because we have the power to protect or destroy it
To be good stewards of creation we can:
• Recycle
• Raise awareness of climate change (or any environmental issue) Join the Eco-Group
• Save electricity, water, gas etc.
Why can the stories in Genesis can be theologically true without being literally true?
Because the meaning of the stories can be true without being factual, the stories are inspired by God, and they are designed to get a point across that is true.
How does science help us?
It helps us to understand how the universe was created and religion helps us to understand the purpose of the universe

• At the command of God, Moses stretched out his staff over the Red
Sea and the waters parted, allowing the Hebrews to cross the sea.
• When the Egyptians pursued the Hebrews into the Red Sea, the
waters returned, destroying Pharaoh’s army and protecting the
Hebrews.
• The Pillar of Cloud and Fire prevented the Egyptian army from
reaching the Hebrews.
How long do Jews celebrate the Passover for?

How do Jews celebrate the Passover ?
They celebrate the Seder Meal at the beginning of the festival. They do not eat any chametz (leaven) during the Passover festival and celebrate it as a family. The Seder meal involves the eating of symbolic food and the re-telling of the Exodus story.
How can Jesus be described as the New Covenant ?
• Jesus is God made man, who creates a new relationship between
God and humanity.
• Jesus used the Last Supper, a Seder Meal, to show that he was
the new sign of God’s covenant with his people.
• Jesus is the Messiah; the saviour sent to free us from slavery to
sin.
Why are the Ten Commandments still important to us?
• The commandments are about love of God and one another, and
this is still important today.
• Some of the commandments are about avoiding killing, stealing
and lying. These are still actions that should be avoided.
• Respecting parents is still very important because they have our best interests at heart.
