What is a community
A group of people that have something in common
What is baptism
The first sacrament, where a person is welcomed to the catholic church and are freed from original sin
Initation
The way new members of a group are made
What does water represent
The life of a new christian cleansing from original sin, and to the old self you were before baptism
What does oil represent
A christian has recieved God spirit, and is sent by god for his service and the oil of catechumens symbolises, the person has been healed and made strong.
What does a candle represent
It helps us to see the light that is gentle and warm. Also it helps us remember those who are with god now
What happens in the welcome of baptism
Parents and the child are welcomed by the priest
What happens in the bible, readings and prayers
A short reading from the Bible is read whilst the God parents bring up the child
What happens in the exorcim
The priest holds up the child and says oh God, you sent your son to cast out the power of satan set you’re child free.
What happens in the anointing
The priest anoints the child on the chest with catechumins.

The second anointing with chrism oil
White gown
The child wears a white gown as a symbol of purity

Because there are so many books it is like a library
