Creeds

Monotheism
Belief in one God

Trinity
The belief that God is three in one
Unity
Gods way of being one
Importance of God as the trinity
God can help us in different ways. God the father can help us understand the power and creativity and his care for the world. The baptism shows the trinity being present. Trinity is part of Apostolic tradition, God is referred to as father son and Holy Spirit, and we must believe what the apostles said
Importance of God as the unity
The Bible only shows one God and as the Bible reveals God, he must therefore be a unity. In the creeds we say ‘I believe in one God’, as the creeds are statements of Christian belief, this means only one God must exist. Christians believe that God is omnipotent, if there were other Gods, they would have power over him making him less powerful.
Faith
Firm belief without logical proof
Importance of the Holy Spirit
Through the sacraments of baptism and reconciliation, it purified people from sin.
It gives guidance. It inspires teachings of the church. It gives power to the people, enabling them to live their Christian vocations fully
Repentance

How can Christians show love of God
Show respect to Gods creations. Not damage the earth or hurt one another. Following rules set by God, the Ten Commandments and by Jesus, the Sermon on the mount. Follow teachings set by the Church as this will effect your life bringing you closer to God
