Re-10.2 Flashcards
What does church as the means to faith mean
The true faith of Christianity has been kept through Apostolic Succession. The Apostles were taught from Jesus so the Church can learn the true faith through the apostles.
In Bible readings and the homily, Christians can learn about their faith and deepen their faith. Pope’s and Bishops interpret the Bible which is read in the Church meaning it is the means to faith for some people. It is the only place where the Eucharist can be received

Importance of the communion of saints
It’s the teachings of the creeds and catechism which are the basis or Christian faith. It means that all Christians are important. It allows prayers to be said for the dead so that they can ascend into heaven. There is communion among Holy people because everyone in the Church shares the Holy Spirit
Importance of Apostolic Tradition
It gives the Church authority of Jesus to teach the faith.
It means that the teaching of the Church is the teaching of the Apostles. This means that if we’re following it, we are basically following what Jesus said. It guarantees what we are taught is correct
