Describe Urticaria
A
- Pruritic, elevated lesions in skin with erythematous base (plasma leakage into tissue)
- Itchy +++
- angioedema (deeper tissues affected)

DDx of Urticaria
A
- Erythema multiforme (not itchy, target lesions)
- Pityriasis rosacea (early lesion)
- HSP

Management of Urticaria
A
- REFER IF ANGIOEDEMA OF AIRWAY (manage as anaphylaxis)
- reassurance
- remove triggers
- cool compress
- antihistamines (promethazine 0.2-0.5mg/kg OR cetirizine 0.2mg/kg)
