What are Rangelands? Rangelands are natural grasslands, shrublands, woodlands, wetlands, and deserts that support grazing by wild or introduced animals. -> Rangelands are distinguished from pastures -> These rangelands provide unvaluable services (supporting, provisioning, regulating, cultural).-> we want to keep the provisioning of these services. As researchers we study how plants, soil and animals interact in space and time and time. -> Sustainable practices
