Q

What is the basic procedure for measuring the flexion/extension of the lumbar spine?

A

Place inclinometer on T12 and S1, have the patient go into flexion and extension (same for lateral flexion), and measure the distances of change.

Q

How many different measurements do you need for lumbar inclinometry?

A

Q

What is the basic procedure for measuring cervical ROM?

A

place the inclinometer on the top of their head and T1, have them go into flexion and extension (same for lateral flexion) , then take the change in degrees. Still need 3 measurements within 10% or 5 degrees.

Q

What is different about the cervical rotation measurement?

A

The patient is laying down, so you only need one measurement. Still need 3 measurements within 10% or 5 degrees.
