A

Resilience is a skill that can be learned and used in everyday life. It is the ability to bounce back from a hard situation or try again. The five dimensions of resilience include physical, emotional, social, mental, and spiritual.

Based on the 5 dimensions of resilience, what activities can a person incorporate into their daily life?

A

Things that can be incorperated into a person’s life based on the 5 dimensions of resilience can include journaling to work on emotional resilience, joining activity groups or a club to work on social resilience, exercising to work on physical resilience, meditation or yoga to work on spiritual resilience, and setting simple goals for the day to work on mental resilience.

Explain Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

A

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs are the needs for survival in an individual to continue life. This hierarchy of needs expresses the amount on needs of certain things in life to live. This is presented in a triangle shape, the base of the triangle are the things people need most to live, the next one a little bit less and less and less the sections get closer to the top of the hierarchy (triangle) it shows the less importance it is compared to the one below it e.g. food and water is more needed than traveling and meeting personal goals.

What is the Biopsychosocial model? Explain activities according to the BPS model an individual can participate in to better their wellbeing.

A

The biopsychosocial model represents all the aspects from biological, psychological, and social factors that can impact mental health. To better the wellbeing of a person according to the BSP model can include eating healthier foods and a better sleep schedule to improve the biological aspect of the model, meditation to improve the psychological aspect of the model, and volunteering work and maintaining relationships to improve the social aspect of the model.
