Random Flashcards
What is the advantage of a sealed system.
Clean and pump can go anywhere
What information is needed to size an expansion vessel?
The volume of water and the temperature rise.
What is the main difference in the operation between a conventional and a condensing boilier.
In a condensing boiler the flue temperature must be above the dew point temperature of the products of combustion.
Why should radiators and convectors not be on the same control circuit?
Because the respond differently to a change in temperature. Radiators respond with an exponent of 1.3. Convectors with an exponent of 1.5.
Explain the principle of compensated temperature control.
If the heat losses are below full load then they can be met with a below design flow rate into the emitters. The flow temperature can be reduced as a function of the external temperature.
