Q
What is convergence and how does it work?
A
Convergence is a primary binocular depth cue, which measures depth or assigns depth to objects in the environment through measuring muscle tension in muscles turning the eyeball inwards. The closer an object, the lens have to turn inwards. So closer the object, more tension in these muscles and we can infer they are closer.

Q
What is accommodation and how does it work?
A
Accommodation is a primary monocular depth cue. Our lens in our eyes have to change shape to focus on closer or further objects. The tension in the muscles that change the shape of the lens is used to assign depth to an object.

Q
What are all the visual depth cues?
A
C- Convergence A- Accommodation R- Retinal disparity T- Texture gradient H- Height in visual field R- Relative size I- Interposition L- Linear perspective
