Q

effect of raised ICP on CNII

  • pathogenesis (3)
  • what is seen on opthalmoscopy
  • symptoms (5)
A

-raised ICP transmitted along the subarachnoid space in the optic nerve sheath:
compresses the optic nerve
will also compress the central artery & vein of the retina

  • transient visual obscurations & flickering
    blurring of vision
