What is a primary carious lesion?
A
-Lesions on natural, intact tooth surfaces

What is secondary (recurrent) caries?
A
-Adjacent to a filling/restoration (same etiology as primary caries)

A
-Demineralized tissue that has been left behind before a filling is placed
