R3- Outter 1/3 of dentine
R4- Middle 1/3 of dentine
R5- Inner 1/3 of dentine- clinically cavitated

What to do

A

R1- R3: Duraphat + OHI
R4: Take into account tooth ready to exfoliate within the next 6 months?
-radiographic look at root length.
Patients homecare + diet.
Patients restorative history.

Depending on above factors:
-Leave and monitor every 3 months
-Restore with composite or Fuji 9 depending on exfoliation time of tooth and patients compliance level.
-Stainless steel crown

R5- Clinically cavitated

Fuji 9
Stainless steel crown.

R6-
Test for reversible pulpitis
- Ask patient if sensitive to cold and sweet things.
-Does pain stop when stimulus is topped?
-Check readiographs for infection or furcation.
-Not mobile.
If results are reversible pulpitis- perform pulpotomy.
Or extract.
