Which procedure you have to follow when you aircraft radio station fails during a controlled flight?

A
  • attempt to establish contact with another ATC unit, appropriate to the route
  • if this attempt fails, attempt to establish communication with other aircraft
  • if those two attempts fail, transmit its message twice, preceded by the phrase “transmitting blind, due to receiver failure”.
  • set transponder to code 7600
  • continue to fly in VMC
  • land at the nearest suitable aerodrome
  • as soon as landed, report his/her arrival to the appropriate ATS unit (and close the flight plan)

A

Return to normal points of entry. Set transponder to squawk code 7600. Enter traffic pattern, look for green light on landing approach and watch for traffic.
