17
Q

What are Negri bodies, and where are they formed in infected animals?

A. Formed in the blood cells; diagnostic markers
B. Formed in the liver; confirmatory for rabies
C. Formed in the cytoplasm of nerve cells in the brain
D. Formed in the lungs; early indicators of infection

A

Answer: C. Formed in the cytoplasm of nerve cells in the brain

Explanation: Negri bodies are formed in the cytoplasm of nerve cells in the brain of infected dogs or cats and are considered confirmatory for rabies.
