- Applied after board is constituted not later than 90 days
- Graduate of BSMT/Hygiene in the Philippines or foreign countries who are in practice for at least 3 years in lab in the Philippines or foreign countries accredited by BRL
- Provided that the standard of MT education is
substantially same as ours (PD 498) - Graduates in paramedical professions who are civil service eligible, performing MT practice for the last 5yrs prior to this Act
- Graduates of from other professions, performing MT practice for 8 years. Provided, such performance began prior to June 21, 1969
Qualification for Issunce of Certificate of Registration to Medical Lab. Technician (PD 498)
- Passed the Civil Service Exam for MLT (March 21, 1964)
- Finished a 2-yr college course with 1-yr experience as MLT
- For every year deficiency in college, 2yrs may be substituted. • 10yrs of experience as MLT as of the date of approval of PD 498 - Failed board examination but get a general rating of at least 70%
