  • light attracts your eyes and takes away your attention from other things. It draws you close to it and you can see Juiliet is attracting Romeo.
  • Light is a symbol of hope and positivity and is a guide for Romeo.
  • Therefore Romeo’s life without Juliet is unimaginable.
  • He also compares Juliet to the sun and this foreshadows their relationship as the sun rises and sets all in one day showing their relationship will not be very long

  • rose must be linked to Romeo’s initial interest which is Rosaline.
  • a rose is a flower of romance but roses have thorns in them. Showing the rose represents the pain he will go through. The rose looks beautiful but the closer he gets to the rose the more he gets hurt.
