loss of tail rotor thrust hover
- roll throttle off into overtravel spring and allow aircraft to settle.
- Raise collective just before touchdown to cushion landing
loss of tail rotor thrust in forward flight
- immediately enter auto
- maintain at least 70 Kias if practical
- select landing site, roll throttle off into overtravel spring, and perform auto
Electrical fire in flight
- battery and alt - off
- open cabin vents
- land immediately
- fuel mixture and valve- off
- if time permits apply rotor brake
- exit helicopter
Tach failure
if engine or rotor tach fail then use other tach. if not sure then let governor control RPM.
