Proscenium
The wall separating the stage and auditorium. Occasionally, the arch in that wall through which an audience views a production.
Proscenium arch
The opening in the wall between the stage proper and the auditorium.
Proscenium doors
Doorways located one ither side of the forestage and usually on the audiorium side of the proscenium arch.
Pull rod
A 3/8¨ rod with a handle at one end and a hook at the other used in pulling wagon stages or turning a revolving disc.
Pull ropes
Short length of knotted ropes attached to low wagon stages and used in pulling them.
Quick study
One who can hurriedly memorize a part
Rail
The top and bottom horizontal members of a flat frame.
Ramp
Sloping walk leading to a higher elevation.

A flat placed parallel to the footlights and attached to the downstage end of a side wall of a set, running off into the wings behind the tormentor.
Revamp
To revise a scene or a play by bringing it up to date.
Reveal
A tickness piece-as on a door, window, or archway-indicating depth or thickness.
Revolving Disc
A low circular platform supported by the stage floor. Usually designed for a particular production and carries bty a portion of a setting.
Revolving stage
A circular section of the stage floor that revoles and is supported from bemeath. It is usually electrically driven. Used for shfting entire settings. (Turn blabe stage)
Revue
Musical comedy, without a plat
Rigging
All of the activities associated with the intitial asembly of a setting when it is first taken to the stage, Rigging also readies a set to be shifted.
