Marine fishes
Jawless fish ~ (ex: lamprey)
Cartilaginous ~ have cartilage skeleton, not mineralized
Ray-finned/bony fish ~ mineralized skeleton
Flat sharks live on bottom, shown by flat body w/ eyes on top & mouth underneath (have flat teeth to grind shellfish)
Marine Reptiles
~ lay eggs (amniotic eggs)
– Crocodiles ~ has highly energetic bouts of eating, can hunt on land as well.
– Sea Turtles ~ light/spongy bones, + fat deposits for buoyancy, thick hide/bony plates allow for compression, have shell & paddle like limbs.
– Iguanas ~ large claws to grip onto rocks, eat only seaweed, females are smaller and eat on land, males are bigger and can dive under.
– Snakes ~ come on land to breath, scales are small/non existent.
