Classification- opioid antagonist / antidote
Mechanism- reverse respiratory depression secondary to opiate drugs
Indications- opiate overdose
Contraindications- caution in narcotic dependent patients / neonates or narcotic addicted mothers
Route- intranasal
Dosage- 1mg each nostril for minimum single dose 2mg — repeat 5 min intervals to max of 10mg total

Classification— vasodilator
MOA— reduces preload and afterload to the heart
Indications — chest pain of cardiac origin, acute pulmonary edema
Contraindications — blood pressure less than 90mmHG systolic, ED meds in last 24-48 hours
Route — sublingual
Dosage — adult .4mg may repeat 3-5 mins
