Daisy: My dad gets transferred all the time.
Where have you lived?
Daisy: Maryland, California, Italy, Virginia, Guam, California again, and Florida again.
I’d love to know more about Italy. That’s where my great-great-grandparents lived.
Daisy: We could talk today rehearsal if you’re free. You, too, Tessa.
We can’t today. There’s a group of us that have been going to Callan together since preschool, and all of us get together and celebrate the beginning of a new school year. Sometime soon though, OK? (Walk around) I can’t wait to hear about your travels! You are so lucky!
Tessa: So who told you this?
No one told me. I overheard the school receptionist. She talking about how sad it would be to lose Mr. Whitney to Kerney at the end of the semester, But that it was kind of understood from the beginning that he was only planning to stay here for one year.
Aimee: We haven’t performed our play yet, so he can’t go. (P.1)
