HODGKINS
- EBV associated
- spreads orderly, painful alcohol single lymphadenopathy
- Ann arbour staging (stage 1-4 + A-no constitutional symptoms or B-FLAWS symptoms)
- Nodular sclerosing most common type
- Biopsy - CD15, CD30 staining reed sternberg cells (binucleate cell on background of lymphocytes)
Treatment with ABVD
or autologous or allogenic SCT
NON HODGKINS
Painless, multiple sites, no pain after alcohol
High grade -
Burkitt’s (8:14) (worst)
Diffuse large B cell
Mantle cell (11:14)
Indolent -
follicular, marginal zone, small lymphocytic
Adult T cell leukaemia/lymphoma = HTLV-1
Coeliac = EATL
Cutaneous T cell lymphoma = mycosis fungoides
Tx with rituximab
