A

quel = what/which
- must be followed with a noun or verb être
- must agree with the noun

Examples:
quel livre est-ce que tu lis? quel livre lisez-vous?

A

qui/que = who/what/which
- followed by an inversion of subject and verb

A

qu’est ce que = what
qu’est ce qui = who
- followed by normal subject-verb order
