What is bracing?
Bracing is where you add the question word at the start and end of your phrase. E.g. Who, wash, dish, who for who is washing the dishes?
Who
Start in a fist with your palm facing towards yourself and the pointer finger pointing upwards. Rotate the sign in a circle three times, starting by going to the side which the hand is on, and towards yourself.
What
Start in a fist with your palm facing outwards, and your pointing finger pointing upwards. Sway your hand from side to side falling downwards. Start with the side that your hand is on.
When
Lay on hand slightly off the side of your face. Tap each finger one at a time of your cheek, starting with your pinky and stopping at your pointer finger. Once you tap your pointer finger, start back at your pinky and go through your fingers twice more.
Where
Lay your hands forward from the elbow with your hands flat and palms facing upwards. Shake both hands horizontally outwards and inwards three times. Out and in is one time. Don’t make the shakes too big.
Why
Make an L with your thumb and pointer finger. Start with your pointer finger going towards the sky, and your thumb pointing outwards. Bend at the wrist to swing your pointer finger towards yourself, to the ground, and then outwards. Bring your hand back up to the starting position and rotate it the same way again.
How
Lay both your hands flat and start with your hands slightly apart. Face your palms towards each other with one hand pointing upwards and the other pointing to the diagonal. Bend your fingers back and bring your hands together to brush the base of your fingers together. Let the swipe go for long enough for your hands to separate, then bring them back together in the sign for W.
How much
Bend on hand at the knuckles and place the top of your fingers underneath your chin. Swipe your hand out swiftly, then bring it in and swipe out once more.
How many
Bend your hand slightly at the knuckles to create a slight curve. Place your and in front of you with your palm facing yourself. Wiggle your fingers forwards and back for a few seconds.
Which
Place your hand in a fist excluding your thumb and pinky. Place your palm downwards and stretch your thumb and pinky out (think cowabunga). Move your hand to the side and back four times.
