What is question 1 about?
list four things you read from a specific part of the extract
(identify and interpret (understand) explicit (obvious) and implicit (not obvious) information
What will question 1 ask you to do?
it will tell you to go to specific lines in a text e.g. “read lines 7-13”
you can only answer the question based on the text in these specific lines
the lines are numbered on the left hand side - so you can draw a box around for example lines 7-13 so you dont get confused
How do you answer question 1?
it will ask you about a certain topic e.g. weather, and you need to write specifically about that topic.
SO, if the question is about weather, then write about weather.
