Q

Quality Assurance systems are the precautions taken throughout the design and production stage of a product to make sure it fits all of the requirements.

It is a process THROUGHOUT the entire manufacturing system.

They are used to measure the quality of the components, products and assemblies using quality control checks. It also helps boost the confidence of both consumers and stockholders.

A

Quality control is the inspection and testing of a product during immediately after production

Inspection is used to make sure manufactured products have been made with tolerance or the acceptable amount by which a products size differs from the specifications.

There are three levels of inspection

  • 100% inspection
  • Normal inspection: using a sampling plan
  • Reduced inspection: using a sample plan that requires a smaller amount of inspection of units than any other.
