Quality
Quality is defined as the degree to which the project fulfills requirements.
Quality Management
Includes creating and following policies and procedures to ensure a project meets the defined needs it was intended to meet from the customer’s perspective.
Baseline
The approved version of a work product that can be changed only through formal change control procedures and is used as a basis for comparison.
Work Package
The work defined at the lowest level of the work breakdown structure (WBS) for which cost and duration can be estimated and managed.
Plan Quality Managment
The process of identifying quality requirements and/or standards for the project and its deliverables, and documenting how the project will demonstrate compliance.
Perform Quality Assurance
The process of auditing the quality requirements and the results from quality control measurements to ensure appropriate quality standards and operational definitions are used.
Control Quality
The process of monitoring and recording of executing the quality activities to assess performance and recommend necessary changes.
Gold Plating
Refers to giving the customer extras [the customer did not ask for].
Process Improvement Plan
A subsidiary plan of the PMP. It details the steps for analyzing processes to identify activities that enhance their value.
