What is CQI?

A

CQI is continous quality improvement: which emphasize the organization, systems, processes w/in the organization rather than individual. It recognize internal customers ( staff) and external customers (clients) and use data to improve processes, recognizing that most processes can be improved.

CQI uses scientific method of experimentation to meet needs to improve services and utilize different tools such as brainstorming, charts diagrams, storyboard, meeting

1.Belief ppl are basically good, trustworthy capable of change

  1. Appreciate value of diversity in contrast to homogeneity
  2. Awareness that power shared is power gained
  3. Creative use of conflict in contrast to avoidance of dissension at all cost
  4. Risk taking in contrast to risk aversion
  5. Foster collaboration rather than competition esp among staff who must work together to get the job done.
