What is behavioral theory?

A

Focus on characteristics leaders possess: such as what leaders do, how they behave is the focus of behavioral traits

Example: Autocratic, Democratic, Permissive/Laissez faire, and Bureaucratic leadership

Autocratic/Bureaucratic use external motivators to cause subordinate change in behavior (such as punishment, power, policies, rules).

Democratic/Laissez faire believe behave change is internally inspired ( such as goal setting, collaboration, hands off able to make own decisions)
