Section 83 entails the “Qualification for registration” of pharmacists and pharmaceutical support staff.
What does Section 83, subsection (1) of the Act state?
Section 83, subsection
(1) states that a person shall not be registered to practice as a pharmacist unless that person: -
(a) holds a degree in pharmacy, or -
(b) holds a qualification recognized by the Board that entitles that person to be registered as a pharmacist, and -
(c) provides evidence of completion of an internship programme undertaken in an accredited pharmacy institution after academic training in the country, -
(d) has passed the professional qualifying examination, and -
(e) satisfies any other requirements of this Part.
