Parking Brake - Set
Speed brake lever - Down Detent
Start levers, both - Cutoff, and if time allows verify flaps Full Down
Evacuation - Initiate, notify flight attendants
Engine & APU fire warning switches - Override, Pull & Rotate
Passenger Evacuation as FO
Flap lever - 40 Standby power switch - Bat Pressurization mode selector - Man D.C. Outflow valve switch - Open, verify by opening F.O.'s cockpit window Tower - Notify
Air Conditioning smoke or fumes
Oxygen masks & regulators - On, 100%
Smoke goggles, if required - On
Crew communication - Establish
Emergency descent
Announce, captain uses PA to advise flight attendants and passengers, and the FO advises A.T.C. and obtains the local altimeter and M.E.A.
Engine start switches - FLT
Thrust levers - Close
Speedbrake - Flight Detent
Emergency descent - Initiate, use autopilot and pitch for M.m.o. or V.m.o.
Level off - 10,000 ft or M.E.A.
Rapid depressurization
Oxygen masks & regulators - On, 100% Crew communication - Establish Pressurization mode selector - Manual Outflow valve - Close If pressurization is controllable: Control cabin pressure in manual mode If pressurization is not controllable: No smoking / Fasten seatbelts sign - On Passenger oxygen switch, if required - On Emergency descent - Initiate
Electrical smoke or fumes
Oxygen masks & regulators - On, 100%
Smoke goggles, if required - On
Crew communication - Establish
Aborted engine start
Before start lever raised to idle: Engine start switch - Off After start lever raised to idle: Before starter cutout: Engine start lever - Cutout, continue to motor the engine for 60 seconds Engine start switch - Off After starter cutout: Engine start lever - Cutoff After N2 decreases below 20%: Engine Start switch - Ground, G.R.D, motor the engine for 60 seconds Engine start switch - Off
Engine failure in the landing configuration
Thrust lever - Advance Auto-throttle - Disengage Flaps - Position 15 Airspeed - Vref 30/40 + 15 or Vref 15 + 5 Approach - Continue or go-around
Engine limit surge, stall
Thrust lever - Retard to maintain limits
Auto-throttle - Disengage
Loss of thrust on both engines
Engine start switches - FLT
Engine start levers - Cutoff
EGT decreasing:
Engine start levers - Idle detent
Rejected takeoff
Simultaneously: Thrust levers - Close Auto-throttle - Disengage Wheel Brakes - Maximum, verify RTO or apply max braking Without delay: Speed-brake lever - Up Thrust reversers - Maximum
APU fire
APU fire warning switch - Pull & Rotate
APU switch - Off
Engine fire, severe damage or separation
Thrust lever # ___ - Close
Auto-throttle - Disengage
Start lever # ___ - Cutoff
Engine fire warning switch # ___ - Pull
If the engine fire warning or engine overheat light remains illuminated:
Engine fire warning switch - Rotate Left or Right
If after 30 seconds the engine fire warning or engine overheat light remains illuminated:
Engine fire warning switch - Rotate to remaining bottle, and hold for 1 second
Engine overheat
Thrust lever - Close
Auto-throttle - Disengage
Smoke or fumes removal
Oxygen masks & regulators - On, 100%
Smoke goggles, if required - On
Cockpit door - Close
Crew communication - Establish
