Emergency descent

A

Announce, captain uses PA to advise flight attendants and passengers, and the FO advises A.T.C. and obtains the local altimeter and M.E.A.
Engine start switches - FLT
Thrust levers - Close
Speedbrake - Flight Detent
Emergency descent - Initiate, use autopilot and pitch for M.m.o. or V.m.o.
Level off - 10,000 ft or M.E.A.

After start lever raised to idle:
 Before starter cutout:
Engine start lever - Cutout, continue to motor the engine for 60 seconds
Engine start switch - Off
 After starter cutout:
Engine start lever - Cutoff
After N2 decreases below 20%:
Engine Start switch - Ground, G.R.D, motor the engine for 60 seconds
Engine start switch - Off

Engine fire warning switch # ___ - Pull
If the engine fire warning or engine overheat light remains illuminated:
Engine fire warning switch - Rotate Left or Right
If after 30 seconds the engine fire warning or engine overheat light remains illuminated:
Engine fire warning switch - Rotate to remaining bottle, and hold for 1 second
