Speed Brakes………..Check Deployed
Thrust Reversers……Max
APU Fire
- APU fire switch…..Confirm….Pull, rotate, & hold
Rotate to the stop and hold for 1 second - APU switch…..OFF
Call for QRC
Cargo Fire
These are Non Memory Items!
1. CARGO FIRE ARM switch
(Affected compartment)…..confirm…..Push,
verify ARMED
2. CARGO FIRE DISCH switch……push and hold for 1sec
Call for QRC
Loss of Thrust Both Engines
- ENGINE START switches (both)………..FLT
- Engine start levers (both)………..CUTOFF
- When EGT decreases
Engine start levers (both)……IDLE detent
Call for QRC
Engine Fire or Severe Damage or Seperation
- Auto throttle (if engaged) ……. Disengage
- Thrust Lever (affected engine)….confirm….Close
Go to QRC
Engine Overheat
- Auto throttle (if engaged) ……. Disengage
- Thrust Lever (affected engine)….confirm….Close
Go to QRC
Engine Limit or Surge or Stall
- Auto throttle (if engaged)…….Disengage
- Thrust lever (affected engine)….Confirm….Retard
Retard until engine indications stay within limits, or
Thrust lever is closed
Go to QRC
Engine Start - Aborted Start
- Engine start lever (affected engine)……CUTOFF
Go to QRC
Drift down
These are non memory items!
- Auto throttle (if engaged)…….Disengage
- Thrust(operating engine)…Max continuous
- Rudder……….Trim
- MCP altitude………Set
- LVL CHG…………Select
- MCP speed……….Set
Go to QRC
Airspeed Unreliable
- Autopilot (if engaged)…..Disengage
- Auto throttle (if engaged)………Disengage
- Flight director switches (both)…..OFF
- Set the following gear up attitude and thrust
Flaps Extended………10* and 80% N1
Flaps up……….4* and 75% N1
Call for QRC
- PROBE HEAT switches………Check one
Smoke Fire or Fumes
- Oxygen masks and regulators…….On, 100%
- Crew communications………Establish
Cabin Altitude Warning or Rapid Depressurization/Emergency Descent
- Oxygen masks and regulators…….On, 100%
- Crew communications………Establish
- Seatbelt sign…………..On
Go to QRC, push the damn horn cut out
- Engine BLEED air switches……ON
- PACK selectors………..AUTO
- Pressurization mode selector…….MAN
- Outflow VALVE switch…….. Hold in Close until the
Outflow VALVE indication shows fully closed
Really get to the QRC
Flight Deck Door Emergency Entry Active / Auto Unkock
JAMCO
1. Flight deck door HARD LOCK switch…….Push
Boeing
1. FLT DK DOOR lock selector…..Rotate to DENY and hold for 1 sec
Go to QRC
Runaway Stabilizer Trim
- Control column………..Hold Firmly
- Autopilot (if engaged)……Disengage
- Autothrottle (if engaged)….Disengage
- Control Column and Thrust Levers….. control airplane pitch attitude and Airspeed
- Main electric stabilizer trim…..reduce control column forces
- Choose one:
4a The runaway stops after the autopilot is disengaged.

4b The runaway condition continues after autopilot is disengaged
STAB TRIM CUTOUT switches(both)….CUTOUT
If runaway continues
Stabilizer trim wheel……Grasp and hold
Go to QRC
