It is the system of the body which is responsible in the digestion of food we eat.

It is the common passageway for digestion and respiration. It is located at the back of the mouth.
Pharynx or throat
It is a muscular tube through which the food passes from the pharynx to the stomach
Esophagus
It is a wave like contraction that transported the bolus by the Esophagus into the stomach
Peristalsis
It is a muscular, elastic, pear-shaped organ
Stomach
A semi-fluid and partly digested food
Chyme
Longest organ of the digestive system
Small Intestine
The other name of Large Intestine, which is the next organ after the small intestine
Colon
It serves as a warehouse for the undigested residue or feces
Rectum
