What is the Rorschach Inkblot Test?
Contains ten different inkblots some in color others in black. Participants describe what the inkblots look like to them.
What is the Thematic Apperception Test?
The TAT is popularly known as the picture interpretation technique because it uses a series of provocative yet ambiguous pictures about which the subject is asked to tell a story.
What is the MMPI–2?
The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI-2) is the most widely used and researched clinical assessment tool used by mental health professionals. Originally developed in the late 1930’s by a psychologist and psychiatrist, the test was later revised and updated to improve accuracy and validity. The MMPI-2 consists of 567 questions and takes approximately 60 to 90 minutes to complete.
What is the Big Five Personality Test?
In psychology, the Big Five personality traits are five broad domains or dimensions of personality that are used to describe human personality, the five-factor model (FFM) The five factors are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism
What is an achievement test?
A test of developed skill or knowledge.
The most common type of achievement test is a standardized test developed to measure skills and knowledge learned in a given grade level, usually through planned instruction, such as training or classroom instruction.
What is repression?
It is when Anxiety producing information is returned to the unconscious mind
for example a person forget about an embarrassing incident from middle school.
What is sublimation?
It is when unacceptable urges are directed to more pro social channels such as aggression or sexual urges that are inappropriate.
What is rationalization?
Excuses are made for anxiety producing behavior for example an athlete using performance-enhancing drugs says that “Everybody is doing it.”
What are projective tests?
