A
Any study that answers the question, “what does the whole bible say to us today about any given topic?”

Why is having a systematic theology important?
A
It allows us to look at a single topic and understand what the entire bible says about it in context. This prevents us from speaking false truths and improves our confidence in speaking the truth of the scripture. Speaking the truth of the scripture keeps us from communicating false doctrine and breaks down a barrier that occurs when we don’t know the full truth of the scripture. We’re able to speak faster and more accurately to biblical truths in context with specific topics.
