A
Nothing has been added so it is in its natural state (e.g. milk)

A
A substance that only contains one type of compound or element

A
Boiling points (pure substances have a specific melting and boiling point) so the closer to the boiling point, the purer it is

A
Useful mixtures with a precise amount of each component to meet its function (e.g. paint, medication)

Why are formulations important?
A
Pharmaceutical industry (correct concentration of drug so it is consumable and has a long shelf life)
